My name is Kimi ~ I'm a wife, mother, sister, artist, traveler, reader. My home is presently in California but my roots and family spread to the Midwest, Italy and Japan.
I enjoy oil painting (though it takes me forever to finish a piece), watercolor, watercolor collage with rice paper and sketching. Sometimes I'll do an acrylic painting or pastel, and though I'm a novice with digital design I have a lot of fun with it. Also, my mom has been making pottery since I was a little girl, so I have a special fondness for clay as well.
With so much in the world to admire, I thought to keep this little art journal to note down inspiration from other artists and share whatever projects I'm working on. This blog is a bit of fun and a way to remind myself to keep my eyes open for beauty and to keep creating. I hope you'll find something here to inspire your own artistic side, too.
