It's presently hanging in our show so I can't run and check. :) Thanks for catching up with me, Kye! Always great to hear from you. <3kimihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16744725323557229669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2229569907463833030.post-39758220656454709292012-01-25T01:48:20.679-08:002012-01-25T01:48:20.679-08:00Gorgeous colours Kimi - so uplifting from the very...Gorgeous colours Kimi - so uplifting from the very first moment!Chantalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07787763615530294753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2229569907463833030.post-86056843262235315712012-01-24T02:51:29.731-08:002012-01-24T02:51:29.731-08:00I love the colors-& it seems quite large, from...I love the colors-& it seems quite large, from the pic... Then I work on top of that, sometimes going in a completely opposite direction and sometimes using it as a guideline. Either way, I like the added depth it provides.

For this painting, the underpainting was pretty spontaneous and then I dripped more colors on top to create more irregular/organic shapes. I already knew that I wanted to add rice paper (I have a thing with circles right now) and when I did that, it became clear that I was painting the origins of life, or an early moment in our creation story. :) That decision then sparked further ideas related to that concept. So... I guess the answer is that I didn't have too much of a plan and just went where it took me!kimihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16744725323557229669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2229569907463833030.post-30581444689847496962012-01-19T09:44:55.548-08:002012-01-19T09:44:55.548-08:00So beautiful and happy!
